November through to February is the best time to visit. Temperatures can get quite cold in the hills, and close to freezing in places such as Kalaw. From mid-February, it gets increasingly hot – April being the ‘cruellest month’, to quote TS Eliot, until rains bless the land from mid-May through to mid-October.
