In addition to traditional Argentine festivals, Córdoba has a few local specialities of its own. During the first three weeks of April, Córdoba puts on a large crafts market (locally called 'FICO') at the fairgrounds, on the town's north side near the Chateau Carreras stadium. The founding of the city is colorfully celebrated on July 6, and mid-September brings the Feria del Libro, a regional book fair.
